Why invest in
Matis investment offers?

01

Extraordinary works created by artists who have marked the history of art

Our investment team focuses on acquiring important artworks by iconic, so-called “blue chip” artists(1) who have marked the history of art: created by emblematic artists, their availability on the market is decreasing while demand is increasing, creating a rarity effect.

02

Unique access to the art market

Beyond the financial aspect, your clients become members of a club that opens the door to private art tours and exclusive cultural events. Our investment team is at your disposal and that of your clients to share their expertise in this market, which is usually reserved for professionals.

03

A strategic asset class

Without intending to make predictions about future performance, according to the Artprice 100 index, over the last two decades, contemporary artworks by the 100 most emblematic artists have outperformed the S&P 500 on average. In a context of market uncertainty, this tangible asset appears to be a safe haven for investors.

04

A liquid and dynamic market

The art market represented nearly USD 58 billion in transactions in 2024, with nearly 50% of auction sales realised on 20th-century artists(3). In 20th-century art, market value is concentrated on “blue chip”(1) works, valued at over USD 500,000. These works represent over 60% of the total value of auction sales, while constituting only 1% of the works traded. Matis' strategy is therefore to focus on these blue chip(1) works, which account for most of the market value.
