Why distribute
Matis investment offers?

01

Exceptional artworks created by artists who have shaped the history of art

Our investment team focuses on acquiring major artworks by iconic artists who have shaped art history: produced by emblematic artists, their availability on the market is dwindling while demand is increasing, creating an effect of scarcity.

02

A strategic asset class

Without making any predictions about future performance, contemporary artworks by the 100 most iconic artists have, over the last two decades, outperformed the S&P 500 on average, according to the Artprice 100 index.

03

A liquid and dynamic market

The art market represented nearly $58 billion in transactions in 2024, with nearly 50% of auction sales coming from 20th-century artists(2). Within 20th-century art, market value is concentrated on ‘blue chip’(3) works valued at over $500k. These works represent more than 60% of the total value of auction sales, for only 1% of the works traded. Matis' strategy is therefore to focus on these blue chip(3) works, which account for the majority of the market value.

04

A unique access to the art market

Beyond the financial aspect, your clients become members of a club that gives them access to private tours and exclusive cultural events. Our investment team is at your disposal and that of your clients to share their expertise in this market, which is otherwise reserved for professionals.
